Los Angeles Date Ideas: Valentine's Day Edition
Valentine's Day is all about love and on February 14th 2010 my husband Ryan and I were married on Waikoloa Beach in Kona, HI. It was magic! Now celebrating our 14th Wedding anniversary, I'm excited to shake things up a bit and this blog was just the thing to get the ideas flowing! Whether your love is old or new, have fun igniting the spark with these 10 romantic Los Angeles date ideas, varying in price, for any day, but especially on Valentine's Day!
1. Inexpensive: Beach Sunset Picnic Pack a basket with your partner's favorite snacks and drinks, grab a blanket, and head to one of L.A.'s beautiful beaches for a enchanting sunset picnic. Paradise Cove is one of the most romantic spots!
2. Inexpensive: Griffith Observatory Stargazing Enjoy a free or low-cost visit to the Griffith Observatory for stargazing. Anyone can be an observer of the night sky through their free public telescopes. Wish upon a star and find out!
3. Inexpensive: Urban Light at LACMA and Dinner Explore the Urban Light exhibit at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art - LACMA to light up the night. Followed by a comfy dinner at one of my favorite diner's, Swinger's! Open since 1993, the LA Times described the retro, Americana-inspired diner as “a magnet for LA’s young and attitudinal.”
4. Moderate: Valentine's Day Couples Dance Lesson Get moving and grooving with the help of Bobbie Milhouse and Evolution Dance Studio in NoHo. Turn up the heat on February 14th for only $30 a person. Reserve your spots and Lindy Hop your way to love!
5. Moderate: Sunset Kayaking For the adventuring couple, OEX Sunset Beach comes highly recommended for your Kayak, Hobie Pedal Board & Stand Up Paddle Board rental experiences starting around $35 and up depending on activity. After you've worked up an appetite, I'd recommend reserving a table at Romano Cucina - their AGLIO OLIO is delicious AND they offer Gluten Free Pasta as well!
6. Moderate-Expensive: Escape Room Antics: Stimulate your mind and body with a trip to Questroom. It's a fun and unconventional way to bond by solving puzzles backed by some adrenaline. Staring at around $100 per person, you will surely have a story to tell at the end!
